Welcome!
Well, what can I say about Cricket
Green School? (Quite a lot actually - as those who know me will testify!) Lots
of people have said some very good and extremely kind things about us – Someone
once described us as “Like school. Only better!”. You
can find more here and make up your own mind.
In 2010 Ofsted
judged us as an “Outstanding School”, praise doesn’t get any better than that but
it hasn't stopped us
striving to do better to continue to make Cricket Green a happy and
outstandingly successful school.“
We offer places to children who
have complex and diverse learning needs. Pupils range between 5 to 19 years old
and cover the 5 Key Stages, indeed, all of their school lives. That alone is
quite unique and special– what’s more it provides security, consistency and
continuity. This enables us to provide the very best education and most
appropriate and supportive learning environment for your children.
So we’re a special school with very
committed people. We strive to provide pupils with an education that not only
extends their skills, but develops each and every one of them as individuals.
Pupils thrive in our school despite their challenges.
Describing our staff as “wildly enthusiastic” would be
something of an understatement. Working hand in hand with outside specialists
and professionals here is a totally dedicated team who are highly skilled at
working with pupils with a wide range of needs, including autism. There is a
never ending drive and commitment to our children which has to be seen - and
experienced – to be believed.
We’re also an active part of the
local community, offering a wide range of activities both during and after the school
day. We celebrate our recognition as an Arts College by taking part in
performances, exhibiting work and delivering workshops to other schools.
And there’s so much more! If you
want to visit or find out more please ring the school office and arrangements
will be made for you to speak to the right person.
Finally, please keep visiting this
website to keep up to date with the fantastic achievements of all our pupils.
