Family Support Worker

Hi, I'm Jane Vickers, the Family Support Worker at Cricket Green School.

I have worked at CGS for the past 26 years with the last 16 of those as the Family Support Worker. My office is located in the Sanctuary and my door is literally always open!

 

My role is a broad one but basically its being a support or help to the families of Cricket Green past and present in any way I can.

 

That can be help filling out forms, arranging after school and holiday clubs, liaising with outside agencies on parents’ behalf, such as, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, School Nurse, Integrated Services, Social services etc., arranging Parent Coffee Mornings, and running the Children’s Breakfast Club.

 

Part of my job is also to signpost parents to agencies or organisations that can help them when I am unable to.
